Hello all! We saw the electrician last week and went through where we wanted powerpoints, light switches, tv and phone points. The electrical work has been started and they've run all the cabling and have put the switch plates in position. The electrician just wants us to come back any day to confirm that is ok as the plasterer is going to start.
The brickie is about 80% finished... he's going down to the wire with his bricks... there isn't that many left. The horrid red/orange bricks have been put on the front where the render will go... I am sure our neighbours think we are nuts to have such a yuck colour. All will be revealed soon though.
We had thought we'd found the perfect water tank, which was a godsend after all they are mostly so UGLY. However, the builder rang us tonight and told us that Reece had made an error and the relatively non ugly tank we liked did not come in a colourbond Jasper colour. So, we are trying to decide on what to do... go with an ugly shape in the right colour, or go with a good design, but in a green. My question to designers... why do you make water tanks in such ugly shapes and designs?
Did I tell you the bath framework has been put in, with heeble stuff around it (the tiling will sit on this)? We can see where the bath will be... the builder has chosen the same bath for his house as I chose.... so it is a very nice one. Our builder is definitely not trying to palm off "cheap and crummy" fittings to save a buck!
P.S. I am having tuna bake for dinner. Yum.
