Update! The slab has been poured and it is drying out, ready for the framework. The frames are on site waiting to be put up... hopefully soon!
The plumber has been digging trenches and laying pipes for the down pipes and one of them runs straight across the backyard so we will be speaking to the builder to make sure he does not put them across where the pool will go.
I'll get you some photos soon!!

Wow!
Its really coming along isn't it?
I would love to see a photo or two of the slab!
Were at the same stage as you! Though there has been a problem with the plumber, and it looks like he cannot do it, so hopefully it won't get delayed too much!
Sandra
Hi Sandra... it's exciting isn't it! You just want them to hurry up to the next stage and then when you're at the next stage you want the next stage! Our builder is great and we haven't had any problems. He likes the same designs we do and realises that the look of our house will determine how much future work he could get!! Thanks again. The Squirrel's Nest Bloggers!
Absoloutly! Every stage oesnt seem to be enough! Well, we are happy with our builder when it comes to having the same taste, the poblem is who he has as the plumber. Very unreliable, which is unlucky because you want everything to be perfect!
Sandra, at this stage we couldn't recommend the builder any higher. We are so happy. One of the first builders we visited just gave us a stack of house plans - half of them were inappropriate for the block shape we had, or double story and we specifically stated single story! My partner thinks he saw this original builder building a house opposite looking at our slab and at him with a hint of recognition. I think he recognised that his bad business skills have lost him a job. He might of been the best builder in town, but we were never going to give him a chance because he could not communicate.
We got the slab, now we have the frame, now we want the roof... pronto!!!! We seem to be in agreement that "fast" is never enough! thanks again for commenting on our blog!
Well, me and my partner are constantly being let down by our builder. We have not even got our slab after four months! The frame should be well and truly up by now!
I am glad that your builder is good!
May I ask what his name is?
Hi Sandra... we are building in a country area, so he does not build in the city... unfortunately as you would love dealing with him!!!
